The Washington County Visitors Association (WCVA), a non-profit destination marketing organization, has granted $500,000 to the Patricia Reser Center for the Arts. The gift supports the private capital campaign to raise funds for the construction of the new center. The Patricia Reser Center for the Arts is expected to draw artists and audiences from both within and outside of Washington County, and their subsequent spending could have a significant impact on the local economy.

“We are thrilled to be able to help the Patricia Reser Center for the Arts to come to fruition,” said Dan Murphy, chair of the WCVA’s board of directors and co-founder of the Broadway Rose Theatre Company in Tigard. “Tualatin Valley’s growing arts and culture scene will be enhanced with the addition of the performing arts venue, thus elevating Tualatin Valley’s reputation as a vibrant arts destination. The PRCA will be a great asset in our tourism development and promotion initiatives and we look forward to opening night.”
