The Beaverton Arts Foundation is a member of the Cultural Advocacy Coalition (CAC), a 501(c)4 non-partisan advocacy organization formed to lobby policymakers in Salem to ensure that all Oregonians have the opportunity to access arts and culture in their communities. In fact, the CAC is the only statewide advocacy organization lobbying Salem for policies and funding that will create a thriving environment for art, culture, heritage, and the humanities. We share the belief that supporting arts and cultural programs, events, and organizations in our state improves education, fuels our statewide economy, bridges urban-rural gaps, opens our minds, and keeps us connected and healthy.

After a vigorous review process of cultural projects across the state, the CAC selected the Patricia Reser Center for the Arts as one of six capital construction projects to be considered for Oregon Legislative funding within the cultural sector. The Patricia Reser Center for the Arts was selected as a project that will grow jobs in the cultural sector, expand access to cultural resources for future generations, support expansion of both contemporary and traditional arts and theatre, and encourage cost-effective, innovative partnerships among cultural nonprofits and the communities they serve. The Beaverton Arts Foundation is honored to be selected by the Cultural Advocacy Coalition and considered for significant funding by the Oregon Legislature in the current biennium.
